Multi-disciplinary service for children with disabilities now offered in Saint John
Lifemark Total Ability Services Inc. offers multi-disciplinary and individualized occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech language pathology (speech therapy) for children throughout the Saint John region.
Getting access to a full suite of services in a single location for children that address cognitive, physical and emotional challenges can be difficult in New Brunswick. Lifemark Total Ability Services, Inc. uses a holistic approach that combines OT, physio and speech language pathology as needed for pediatric patients – either at home, school, work and in-clinic. Therapists provide empathetic and compassionate care to both children – and their parents.
The team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech therapists provide tailored treatment plans that address a variety of issues related to mobility, speech and self-care skills to increase performance in school and self-confidence at home. Therapists can help with cognitive challenges, fine and gross motor skills, and broader based tools to improve overall communication and literacy. All services include support and strategies for teachers and parents to use in the school and at-home to ensure a continuum of care.
Services are provided for children with autism, developmental delay, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD), developmental coordination disorder (DCD), attention deficit disorder (ADD) or ADHD, learning disability, sensory processing disorder (SPD), anxiety, depression or mood disorders, concussion, brain injury, apraxia, down syndrome, and a number of motor-neuro conditions.
Lifemark Total Ability Services, Inc. provides clinic-based services at the Lifemark clinic located at 206-555 Somerset St. in Saint John, along with mobile service in Saint John, Fredericton and Moncton.
