Alana Acker BSc.O.T. graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and continued her studies at the University of Alberta, earning a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2003.
She had since worked as an occupational therapist in both public and private sectors. Alana is experienced in helping adults return to work, providing gradual return to work programs, ergonomic assessments, job site analysis and transferrable skills analysis. She is also skilled with upper extremity rehabilitation and helping seniors at home.
Alana is a member of the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and is registered to practice in New Brunswick. She provides occupational therapy services to adults and seniors with physical, cognitive and mental health challenges at home, school and work in English in greater Saint John, New Brunswick.
Alana is also certified in AMPS (Assessments of Motor and Process Skills). She rejoined our team in 2016.
